Durham Location

The city of Durham lies to the south of Newcastle in the north-east of England Durham is easily accessible by road and rail.

Air: Newcastle & Teesside Airports are 30 minutes' drive from Durham.

Rail: On the main London - Scotland line. London under 3 hours.

Residential accommodation at the conference will be in Collingwood College where car parking is freely available. A taxi from Durham railway station to the College during daytime hours should cost less than £10.00.

Overseas delegates arriving at London airports should go to Kings Cross Station (which is served by several Underground lines) and then take a train to Durham.

For people arriving at Newcastle airport, there is a metro service to Newcastle railway station at approximately 15 minute intervals during daytime hours.
