Getting here

The meeting willl be held in the Michael Young Building at the University's Wallton Hall Campus in Milton Keynes.  The Michael Yound Building is shown on the bottom left of the OU campus map.

By car

You do not need a permit to park on the Open University campus.

Dedicated Visitor Parking (which is signposted) is available in front of the Berrill Building, near the entrance to the Open University campus from the V10 (Brickhill Street). It takes about five minutes to walk from the visitor car park to the Michael Young Building.

The closest car park is the South West Parking area opposite the Michael Young Building (and the adjacent Church Parking area). Please note that, although there usually are some spaces available, these may be full, in particular if you arrive after 9.30 am. In that case, the most likely places to find a space are the Visitor Parking area mentioned above or the East Parking (in particular the Overspill Parking) areas nearby.

By train/bus/cycle

The University is about four miles from Milton Keynes Central Railway Station.

For information about bus services between the railway station and the OU, follow the links on the  top right. 

Taxis are normally available for hire at the railway station. The journey from the station takes about 15 minutes and costs about £10.  At the meeting you can sign up to share a taxi back to the railway station at the end of the day.

It takes about 20 - 30 minutes to cycle from Milton Keynes Central Railway Station to the Open University Campus. Information on cycling in Milton Keynes is available from the links on the top right.
