The impact of the project:
A community led plan has been submitted instead of the 'clone town'of gated flats proposed by the Council.
My motivation for taking part:
First involved in 2003 when the Council did a very poor consultation of residents about their plans for the corner site. Our deputation to the Regeneration Scrutiny panel was largely ignored. Money had been obtained to restore this important gateway to Tottenham containing its vibrant Latin American indoor market but unfortunately the Council and Transport for London chose to leave the place derelict for years.
