Program

The program subpred.pl has code for generating all consistent two-statement patterns, as defined by the theory in the above papers. It runs in Sicstus Prolog, using the finite-domain constraints library. For a given setting it produces output files with all consistent solutions (solutions.txt) and the subset of coherent solutions (coherent.txt). At present it is set up to cover statements in which subject is either subclass of predicate, or equivalent to predicate, or disjoint from predicate, and there are 297 solutions of which 62 are coherent by our criterion (see above papers).
