Dear fellow MMKAC member!

As most of you know my wife Dawn has been battling Ovarian cancer for the last 8 and a half years. In that time she has undergone all manner of treatment ranging from traditional chemotherapy on the NHS to alternative vitamin based treatment from the Oasis of Hope hospital in Tijuana Mexico. Over the years we have come to realise that the Oasis approach tends to work best for Dawn giving her the longest periods of good health before this wretched disease rears it’s ugly head again. Unfortunately we are now at that stage once again and with chemotherapy having largely failed in the early part of year Dawn has now decided that a return course of treatment in Mexico is the best way forward. The stumbling block as always is finance with an estimated £15,000 being the target this time for the initial 3 sessions. Fortunately we have many good supporters, none less than Chloe Allen and her family who have always rallied round whenever Dawn has needed help. Chloe is part of Dawn’s Spectrum Arts (Performing Arts) academy. On December 1^st Chloe, a 200m runner, is running a 2 mile sponsored run for Dawn which as she says seems like a marathon for her! Kevin is also organising a fund raising concert next Saturday Nov 21st where MK Top Talent winner HOLLY BREWER together with finalist ELLA AUSTIN and some of the City's best performers including Chloe will be singing to raise money for Dawn.
