Welcome to John Brier's Website!
Where do I come from? I come from Yorkshire in the UK. My work has a 'today' focus on the subject of organisational learning and change for competitive advantage in organisations. Outcomes include toolkits that support organisations in the selection, deployment and use of digital technology and its alignment with business processes. This includes legacy descriptions of both social and technical contexts. The use of organisational terminology embeds an employee-driven focus for harnessing change (as apposed to containing change) resulting in continuous process improvement. What am I doing? I am in the final stage as a PhD student developing tools for reasoning about organisation (socio-technical) change. My PhD supervisors are Professor Ince, Professor Petre, and Dr. Laney. My publications can be found here. |
